Paul Tagliamonte is a Software Engineer, Debian Developer, Open Government hacker, and life-long GNU/Linux user. Paul serves on the Debian FTP Team, the team responsible for maintaining the Debian Archive, as well as interpreting the Debian Free Software Guidelines (DFSG). Paul maintains a handful of packages, such as Docker, golang, and Fluxbox. As an active Pythonista, Paul enjoys pushing Python to its limits, going so far as to implement a Lisp called Hy that compiles to Python bytecode. Paul worked as the State and Local Development lead at the nonpartisan nonprofit Sunlight Foundation, developing FOSS solutions to allow citizens keep the Government accountable. Paul has served as a Director of the Open Source Initiative Board of Directors.
